Teaching & Mentoring Philosophy

The world needs passionate individuals equipped to tackle complex problems and create positive change. This is the driving force behind my teaching and mentoring philosophy. I believe each person holds the potential to be a changemaker, and I'm dedicated to helping them discover their purpose and equip them with the skills to make a real difference.

I foster an engaging environment where students and mentees actively participate, ask questions, and learn from one another. It's not about passive knowledge transfer, but about sparking curiosity and critical thinking skills.

My passion for public policy and nonprofits fuels my teaching. By applying theory to real-world challenges faced by communities, I equip students with the analytical tools they need to tackle complex issues and contribute to positive social change.

I view mentoring as a collaborative journey built on trust and open communication. Together, we'll identify mentees' professional aspirations and develop a personalized roadmap for success. I provide constructive feedback and guidance, but also encourage independent growth and learning from experience. Celebrating achievements fosters their confidence and motivation on the path to success.

My goal is to empower students to become not just technically skilled, but also well-rounded leaders with a deep understanding of the issues facing our world.

I ignite the passion within them to create a more sustainable and equitable future. I expect them to leave my classroom or mentorship meetings equipped to make a real difference in the world.
